Alitalia: third most punctual airline in Europe according to Flightstats.
Airline placed tenth in the world according to independent US company.

Rome, 7 August 2017 – Alitalia ranked third most punctual airline in Europe and tenth in the world in the first two quarters of 2017, according to the report published by FlightStats (flightstats.com), the US independent data services society specialized in commercial aviation.

According to the chart, 84 per cent of Alitalia flights arrived on schedule from January to June. Flighstats follows the “A14” method, monitoring flights arriving at the gate less than 15 minutes after the scheduled arrival time.

The largest airline in Italy has ranked third in Europe – behind Iberia and Austrian Airlines, with higher scores than the three major European carriers - British Airways (82%), Lufthansa (80%) and Air France (78%) – and the low-cost carrier easyJet (78%). Alitalia has ranked tenth in the world ahead of the main US carriers: Delta Air Lines (82%), American Airlines and United Airlines (80%).

A major improvement compared to the past two years when Alitalia’s arrival performance was 83 per cent in 2016 and 76 per cent in 2015 (the last figure was affected by the incident occurred at Fiumicino on May 7). Considering that Alitalia has operated over 93,000 flights in the first two quarters of 2017, the improvement of one percentage point means that almost 1,000 flights more have arrived on time compared to same period last year.

June 15, 2016 - Alitalia and Etihad Airways equity partners sign the Buckingham Palace Declaration
to fight illegal wildlife trafficking

Alitalia, along with four other Etihad Airways equity partners, has signed the Buckingham Palace Declaration, committing to major steps to fight illegal wildlife trafficking and efforts to help protect many of the world’s iconic wildlife species. The Declaration of the United for Wildlife International Taskforce on the Transportation of Illegal Wildlife Products was signed by Alitalia's Ceo, Cramer Ball, and by the respective chief executive officers of airberlin, Air Serbia, Air Seychelles and Virgin Australia at the IATA Annual General Meeting currently being held in Dublin.

Alitalia, airberlin, Air Serbia, Air Seychelles and Virgin Australia signed the Declaration following the lead of Etihad Airways which became a signatory in March this year.

United for Wildlife is an unprecedented alliance of conservation organizations and The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry. The initiative aims to address current conservation issues with an initial focus on supporting efforts to prevent the growing trade in illegal wildlife and products around the world. The Transport Taskforce, launched at the World Bank in December 2014, has identified specific actions that the transport industry can take in supporting what HRH the Duke of Cambridge refers to as ‘the race against extinction’.

Jet Airways signed the Declaration in April to coincide with the visit to India by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
"The signing of the Declaration is another important step in Alitalia’s continued contribution to the fight against the illegal wildlife trade," said Cramer Ball. "We have already refused to transport hunting trophies on our planes for some years, but today with the signing of the Buckingham Palace Declaration we have further reinforced our commitment to the protection of species threatened with extinction. I am proud to see that together with Alitalia, four of our other partners have decided to support this important initiative." Etihad Aviation Group President and Chief Executive Officer, James Hogan said: "Having six of the Etihad equity partners as signatories ensures a more extensive and impactful result over 348 destinations. Led by our Head of Sustainability we are developing a group wide action plan to help prevent this abhorrent practice."

The Rt Hon Lord Hague of Richmond, Chair of the United for Wildlife Transport Taskforce welcomed the commitment of Etihad Airways and its partner airlines saying: "Combating the Illegal wildlife trade through all modes of transport is essential to tackling the problem. I commend Etihad Airways and its partner airlines for signing this declaration and taking an active step in supporting this initiative."

The Declaration includes eleven commitments developed to support global efforts to prevent illegal wildlife smuggling, which encourage the transport industry to specifically help shut down the routes exploited by wildlife traffickers. Airlines are able to support in a number of ways including increasing passenger awareness, providing capacity building at airports and working closely to support the efforts of customs and law enforcement authorities.

Among the long-haul routes, those areas of South America and the Far East have seen the highest growth rates, with a peak of flights to and from Brazil, especially to Rio de Janeiro (+ 36% of passengers vs. August 2013), and to and from Japan, especially to Osaka (+ 26% vs. August 2013). Also on North America, there has been an increase of more than 11% of passenger traffic between Italy and New York, year on year.

On international medium-haul flights, Eastern Europe and North Africa recorded the best performance in number of passengers carried, with an increase of 7% compared to August of 2013. In particular, on North Africa are Egypt and Tunisia the most popular destinations having recorded, respectively, a + 25% and + 24% in the number of passengers carried.

To and from Prague, the traffic increased to a three digits figure (+130% compared to August 2013), thanks to the introduction of a new route from Milan Linate which was added to the existing flight from Rome Fiumicino and is very popular with most travellers.

In Italy, the most sought after destinations are the city of art, the islands and the Puglia: Verona (+12% of passengers), Venice (+3%) are the destinations with the highest increase in passenger traffic, while the highest load factors were recorded on routes to and from Sicily
(load factor at 77,5%) and Puglia (more than 75%).

The statistics on traffic to Sardinia deserve a particular mention: passengers growth reached a +93% increase compared to August 2013. It is linked to increased Alitalia offer to Sardinia, with the Airbus A330 with a capacity to carry 250 passengers operating to and from Cagliari for a few rotations.

Meanwhile, the expansion plan of the Alitalia network continues with two new international routes from Rome Fiumicino to Marrakech (launched on 3rd Sept.) and to Marseille (the new flight will operate from 26th October).

This new flight consolidates and strengthens the strategy that Aeroporti di Roma has commenced with success, aimed at extending the offer to markets with a high commercial potential, thanks also to the significant infrastructure development works that are raising the quality of services offered in Italy's main airport. I would therefore like to offer my very best wishes, in the hopes that this destination be the first of many direct links between Rome and North Africa".

MARCH 10, 2014 - PRESS RELEASE:

ITALY CONTINUES TO BE A FAVORITE DESTINATION FROM INTERNATIONAL AND INTERCONTINENTAL MARKETS.
THE NUMBER OF PASSENGERS ARRIVING ON ALITALIA FLIGHTS SINCE THE BEGINNING OF 2014 HAS INCREASED.

31,000 more passengers (+ 3.6%) compared to 2013.
A vital contribution from South America (+ 11%).
From Europe and the Middle East (+ 6%).
From North America (+3.3%).

Rome, March 10, 2014 – Since the beginning of 2014, travelers arriving to Italy from international and intercontinental markets has increased.

Compared to the first months of 2013, Alitalia recorded an increase of 3.6% (+31,000) in the number of passengers arriving from these markets. This confirms that Italy continues to remain a top destination for both business and leisure travelers. The increase that has been noted since the beginning of this year further confirms that business travel is on the rebound.

Rome, Milan, Florence, Venice and Southern Italian cities remain popular destinations for international visitors.

The most significant contribution has been seen from South America with a passenger increase of 11% verses previous year. Revenue increase from this market was recorded at a +58% compared to 2013. Alitalia offers nonstop service between three South American Countries and Rome: Brazil (Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo), Argentina (Buenos Aires) and Venezuela (Caracas).

Also important is the contribution made by Europe and the Middle East. These international markets recorded a +6% increase in the number of passengers compared to 2013. During the summer season, beginning March 30, 2014, the Alitalia Group will offer service to 62 destinations in these two markets.

From North America to Italy the increase accounts for +3.3% in the number of passengers compared to 2013. This is also the area where the highest load factor in high yield traffic on long haul flights – Magnifica Business class and Classica Plus – has been achieved. This too is a sign that business travel has started to recover and more passengers are choosing to fly with Alitalia. On flights between North America and Italy in 2014, the number of passengers travelling in Magnifica increased by 6.4 percentage points compared to previous year, while Classica Plus recorded an increase of 7.4 percentage points.

These results confirm a growth on these markets and as a result, the Company's Industrial Plan forecasts an additional boost in revenue deriving from them. Alitalia's goal is to be one of the main contributors to the Italian economy.

JANUARY 2014 - PRESS RELEASE:

PASSENGER GROWTH AND RECORD OPERATIONAL RESULTS

THE MONTH OF JANUARY RECORDED THE FIRST POSITIVE EFFECTS OF THE COMPANY'S NEW BUSINESS PLAN:
1 MILLION 476 THOUSAND PASSENGERS TRANSPORTED (+ 0.5% COMPARED TO JANUARY 2013); LOAD FACTOR AT 68.9 % (+ 1.6 P.P.).

EXCELLENT OPERATING PERFORMANCE:
ON TIME PERFORMANCE: 90.2 % (+ 2.2 PPTS; JANUARY 2013: 88%); REGULARITY PERFORMANCE: 99.9% (+0.3 PPTS; JANUARY 2013: 99.6%).

RESULTS FROM ALITALIA'S RE-HUBBING PROJECT IN FIUMICINO, WHICH BEGAN IN NOVEMBER, EXCEED EXPECTATIONS:
+9.1% TOTAL PASSENGERS IN TRANSIT AT FIUMICINO AIRPORT;
29.5% PASSENGERS CONNECTING BETWEEN TWO ALITALIA INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS;
25.6% PASSENGERS ON INTERNATIONAL ALITALIA FLIGHTS WITH NEW EARLY DEPARTURES ACCOMODATING CUSTOMERS TRAVELING FOR BUSINESS.

Rome, February 7, 2014 – Alitalia recorded an increase in passengers in January 2014, a direct result of the positive effects produced by the new Business Plan adopted by the Company.

January ended with 1,476,098 passengers, an increase of 0.5% compared to the same period last year, despite a reduction in the number of seats offered (-3.3%), and the continuing sharp decrease in domestic traffic .

During the same period, the load factor increased to 68.9%, up 1.6 percentage points compared to last year (67.3% in January 2013).

Alitalia's operating performance (punctuality and regularity) improved and reached levels of excellence, positioning the company permanently among the top ranking global carriers, with results well above the average of all participating AEA airlines (Association of European Airlines).

On time performance reached 90.2 %, an increase of 2.2 percentage points compared to 88% in January 2013.

The regularity index, the number of flights operated of total scheduled flights, was 99.9%, an increase of +0.3 percentage points compared to 99.6% in January 2013.

Just three months since Alitalia's re-hubbing project at Rome Fiumicino Airport, traffic results exceeded expectations, both in terms of transit passengers and in terms of load factor. The changes to the network, including rescheduling the majority of longhaul flights to later in mid-day, and earlier departures of international flights from Rome to capture high yield business, allowed Alitalia to record a 9.1% increase in total passengers connecting in Fiumicino (compared to the period November 2012/January 2013). The trend is positive in the cumulative results and the performance has been steadily improving.

In detail, the greatest increase in traffic (+ 29.5 %) was recorded among the passengers using Fiumicino airport as a connecting point between two international Alitalia flights (e.g. London - Rome Fiumicino - Athens). Passengers connecting in Fiumicino between an international and an intercontinental on Alitalia (e.g. Tirana - Rome Fiumicino - New York) increased by 4.4%. These results demonstrate that Alitalia's passenger growth, as well as the industry growth, is driven primarily by demand on the international and intercontinental routes rather than on the domestic ones. This trend is in line with the Company's plan for future development.

The plan to schedule earlier departures for flights from Rome to select European destinations important for business passengers, such as Frankfurt, London City or Madrid, have proven successful: passengers increased 25.6% on these routes.

The re- hubbing of Rome Fiumicino also showed positive results in the load factors. On short and medium haul flights arriving in Fiumicino between 12pm and 2pm, the load factor increased 7.2 percentage points (to 74.2%), and by 5.3 percentage points (to 76.3 %) for short and medium-haul connections in Fiumicino between 1pm and 2pm. These flights arriving or departing in Fiumicino also serve as connections with Alitalia intercontinental flights.

JANUARY 21, 2014- PRESS RELEASE:

ALITALIA'S INTERNATIONAL MARKETS GROW IN 2013:
+ 3.4% PASSENGERS
+2% THE LOAD FACTOR
GOOD FIRST RESULTS OF REHUBBING

Rome, January 21, 2014 – Alitalia strengthens its presence in its international and intercontinental markets. In 2013, the Company recorded excellent passenger results on its international flights (+3.4%). The load factor increased by 2 percentage points compared to the previous year, from 72.8% in 2012 to 74.8% in 2013.

In particular, Alitalia passengers increased on flights to / from Central and South America (+3.6% vs. 2012), where Alitalia connects Italy with four destinations (Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Caracas).

In addition, thanks to the partnership with Brazilian airline GOL signed in July, Alitalia offers a wide range of destinations connecting in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. For example, Alitalia and GOL offer connections to every city in Brazil that will host soccer World Cup matches to be held from June 12 to July 13, 2014.

Brazil is a growing market and Alitalia has seized many opportunities for development. In 2013, Alitalia transported more than 311,000 passengers, an increase of over 6% compared to 2012.

In addition to its scheduled flights, Alitalia has planned and carried out approximately 1,000 charter and special flights for numerous national and international clients, including the flight to Brazil by His Holiness Pope Francis on his first Apostolic Journey to celebrate World Youth Day in Rio de Janeiro.

The load factor on Alitalia flights to / from North America was up 1.6 percentage points, from 80% in 2012 to 81.6% in 2013. In 2010, Alitalia joined the transatlantic joint venture with Delta Air Lines, Air France and KLM. Today, Alitalia serves six destinations in North America (New York, Boston, Miami, Toronto, and with seasonal flights, Los Angeles and Chicago) with connections in code-sharing flights with Delta from New York JFK, Atlanta, Detroit and Minneapolis airports.

For the fourth consecutive year, Alitalia has won the award for Best Airline Cuisine in Global Traveler magazine's GT Readers Tested Survey. Alitalia has also recently received the Expert's Choice Award for its in-flight wine program in Saveur Magazine's 2013 Culinary Travel Awards. The prestigious awards recognize Alitalia's commitment to creating a high-quality Italian dining experience inspired by Italy's culturally diverse regions and prepared in collaboration with Alma, the Gualtiero Marchesi's training center for Italian cuisine, and AIS - the Italian Association of Sommeliers.

Despite the delicate macroeconomic situation in 2013, Alitalia has continued its expansion of international routes inaugurating new flights from Rome to Prague, Bilbao, Copenhagen, Krakow, Montpellier, Oran, London City, Podgorica, and from Milan Linate airport to Vienna (in addition to connections from Milan Linate to Warsaw and Prague beginning in March 2014).

The reorganization and optimization of arrival and departure flight times, known as “re-hubbing”, was completed at the end of October at Rome Fiumicino hub. As a result, Alitalia offers more convenient connections for passengers connecting from other Italian airports and for those returning on flights from North America.

The indicators of these first weeks confirmed the Company expectations in terms of traffic flows and flight loads. In particular, since the project began, the load factor on flights to / from Rome Fiumicino grew by nearly 3 percentage points over the same period last year, from 66% to 69%.

PROUD TO SHOW THE BEST OF OUR COUNTRY. WITH PASSION”.
ECONOMIC-FINANCIAL OBJECTIVES OF THE 2013 - 2016 PLAN
DURING THE COURSE OF THE FOUR-YEAR PLAN, WITH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ALL THE EXPECTED INDUSTRIAL AND FINANCIAL MEASURES, THE COMPANY PLANS TO ACHIEVE THE FOLLOWING ECONOMIC RESULTS:

  • 2013: POSITIVE EBIT IN THE SECOND HALF, RESULTING FROM AN IMPROVEMENT IN INDUSTRIAL MANAGEMENT
  • 2014: BREAK-EVEN OPERATING MARGIN
  • 2015: BALANCED BUDGET
  • 2016: BALANCE SHEET PROFIT

CONCURRENTLY, THE FOLLOWING OBJECTIVES HAVE ALSO TO BE ACHIEVED:

  • INCREASE THE CONVERTIBLE SHAREHOLDERS LOAN BY 55 MILLION EUROS WITHIN DECEMBER 2013
  • INCREASE THE FINANCIAL RESOURCES BY 300 MILLION EUROS IN DECEMBER 2013.

Rome, 3 July 2013 - Gabriele Del Torchio, new CEO of Alitalia, today presented the strategic outline of the new Industrial Plan 2013 - 2016 for Alitalia and the new mission of the Company.

With this Plan, the Group wants to better respond to changes in the aviation market which, in recent years, has seen a sharp reduction in the domestic traffic sector, against a growth of international and intercontinental routes, particularly to Eastern Europe, North and South America, Middle and Far East.

The Plan foresees an increase in revenue from overseas activities which already account for over 50% of the total revenue of the Group, making Alitalia one of the main Italian companies to contribute to the balance of payments of Italy.

The Industrial Plan 2013 - 2016 will focus on 3 principal businesses - Alitalia, Air One and Alitalia Loyalty (the new company of the Group, founded at the end of 2012, which deals with the development and enhancement of the MilleMiglia programme) and will be based on 4 strategic lines with the goal of recovering the productivity of the Company, allowing it to remain in the market efficiently and profitably.

1st STRATEGIC LINE: REDEFINITION OF THE ROLE OF ALITALIA AND AIR ONE WITH REGARD TO SHORT AND MEDIUM HAUL ROUTES
This will involve the redefinition of the Alitalia Group's short and medium haul network, differentiating the activities of Alitalia and Air One, avoiding overlapping between the two Companies, with the aim to better respond to the needs of all customer segments.

The Smart Carrier Air One: a web oriented company, which will have operational bases in Sicily, North East Italy and Pisa.
A new image and branding project is under way for Air One. The new brand, which will replace Air One, will have a stronger likeness to Alitalia. The Smart Carrier will offer, with a predominantly web-oriented sales model, 2 fares and 2 levels of service (EASY and PLUS) to meet the needs of both price-sensitive and premium segments. EASY fare passengers will be able to customise their travel experience by choosing additional services.

The Smart Carrier's new short and medium haul network structure will be dedicated to serve point-to-point connections, from the bases of Catania, Palermo, Venice and Pisa, strengthening, in particular, the provision of international flights.

The increase of the offer in Sicily and in North East Italy responds to the need to meet the high traffic demand in Sicily and to regain market share in North East Italy, which was lost in recent years to other European airports. Maintaining a presence in Pisa and Tuscany is also of great importance.

Alitalia strengthens its operations at the hub of Rome Fiumicino and at Milan Linate and Milan Malpensa airports
Alitalia will operate all national and international connections to/from the hub of Rome Fiumicino and to/from Milan Linate and Milan Malpensa airports, increasing international and intercontinental services at these 3 airports.

With regard to Milan Linate airport, while maintaining the connections to Southern Italy, the Plan provides that selected Rome-Milan-Rome slots will be replaced with new international point-to-point connections, thereby allowing Alitalia to satisfy the needs of customers in Northern Italy, especially business travellers.

During the course of the Plan, new flights from Milan Linate to Copenhagen, Budapest, Vienna, Stockholm, Helsinki, Malta, Tallinn, Prague and Warsaw will be introduced.

Alitalia will also operate services from Milan Malpensa airport to non-EU destinations such as Cairo, Tunis, Moscow and Tirana, in addition to connections to Rome Fiumicino.

The international offer will be further enhanced, as early as 2013, with new flights from Rome Fiumicino to several international routes. Possible new destinations are: Nuremberg, Lviv, Bordeaux, Skopje, Zagreb, Sarajevo, Ankara, Marrakech, Misurata, Minsk, Basel, Marseille, Rostov, Pristina, Damascus, Erbil.

New pricing strategy and servicing
The safeguard and the development of the domestic and international market share will be ensured through a rethinking of pricing strategies to take into account and to attract not only those who choose a premium fare (the vast majority of Alitalia passengers today), but also price-sensitive customers, who, in any case, will be able to customise their travel experience by choosing additional services.

The new strategy also embraces other customer groups by offering dedicated initiatives. For example, young people (thanks to the already introduced JUMP ON-BOARD fares) and, soon, families and foreign nationals living in Italy.

2nd STRATEGIC LINE: DEVELOPMENT OF INTERCONTINENTAL ACTIVITIES
The Strategic Plan 2013 - 2016 sees a strong projection on the intercontinental network.

Development of the long-haul fleet
To support the development of the intercontinental network, 6 long-haul aircraft are expected to be introduced into the Alitalia fleet, during the course of the Plan.

Various actions are needed in order to increase profitability of the current intercontinental routes. In October 2013, as part of a specific plan, the reconfiguration of 10 Airbus A330 aircraft part of the Alitalia fleet will commence and is expected to be completed by 2014.

The new configuration is the result of a research into the precise needs of the Italian air transport market.

New long-haul routes with high potential
New long-haul routes with high traffic potential to/from Italy will be identified and introduced. The new routes will operate mainly from the hub of Rome Fiumicino and the airports of Milan Malpensa and Venice.

The new intercontinental destinations which may be introduced between winter 2014 and Winter 2016 are Nairobi, Seoul, Santiago de Chile, San Francisco and Johannesburg from Rome. Shanghai, Abu Dhabi and Osaka from Milan Malpensa; Tokyo from Venice.

The launch of the new routes will be combined with the strengthening of the Alitalia presence through increased frequencies to North and South America (especially the United States and Brazil), Japan and the Arabian Peninsula.

This process will boost the attractiveness of Rome Fiumicino as a national and intercontinental hub, with a strong and innovative trade policy to attract increasing volumes of passengers.

Strengthening of business partnerships with major companies
Parallel to the development of new long-haul routes served directly, Alitalia will expand its worldwide presence in countries which, are today insufficiently served, by strengthening existing commercial partnerships.

Thanks to the reinforcement of existing codesharing agreements, or through the development of new agreements, Italian passengers will be able to reach destinations throughout the world, even if not directly served by Alitalia.

Development of market share and of commercial activity abroad
Alitalia, as ambassador of Italy and of Italian excellence in the world, aims to increase its market share abroad and, in particular, in those countries where there is a strong presence of Italian communities, such as Canada, USA, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, South Africa and Australia.
At the same time, to further increase the flow of traffic to Italy, of both leisure and business travellers, Alitalia will strengthen its commercial network, already present in many worldwide countries.
The expansion of Alitalia abroad will be made possible by alliances and codesharing agreements.

ROME FIUMICINO RE-HUBBING PROJECT
An all-encompassing activity, which will fast forward the achievement of the objectives highlighted in the first two strategic lines of the 2013 - 2016 Industrial Plan, is the Re-Hubbing project of the Alitalia hub at Rome Fiumicino Airport, which will be launched in October for the Winter 2013 - 2014 timetable.

This process consists of the reorganization and optimisation of the time slots for domestic, international and intercontinental flights departing from and arriving at Rome Fiumicino, with the aim of improving the quality of the service offered to passengers.

The change of the time slots for flights to/from Rome Fiumicino has been implemented in favour of both business passengers, who will benefit from flights to Italy and Europe with early morning departures and evening returns, and passengers departing from other Italian airports, who will be able to take advantage of more convenient connections in Rome Fiumicino to reach long-haul destinations, such as the Americas.

This reorganization will also guarantee significant benefits and economic advantages for Alitalia, thanks to a more efficient operational structure and use of flight and ground resources at the Rome Fiumicino hub.

3rd STRATEGIC LINE: DEVELOPMENT OF INFRASTRUCTURE PARTNERSHIPS AND MORE ATTENTION TO THE INTERMODAL PASSENGER TRANSPORTATION (AIR AND RAIL)
It involves the identification of new partnerships and the strengthening of existing ones, with key infrastructure partners in Italy, such as, for example, airports.

The goal of these partnerships is to create synergies and improve customer satisfaction through increased efficiency of ground operations, joint development of network and infrastructures and the expansion of services which are not closely related to flight operations (parking or transfers to/from airports).

The Plan calls for another key element of future collaboration: the opportunity to introduce and develop appropriate intermodal connections between aviation and high speed rail.
A more efficient allocation of traffic between train and plane will allow to optimise the inputs of the Italian national production system.

4th STRATEGIC LINE: TURN ALITALIA LOYALTY INTO A SEPARATE BUSINESS BRINGING PROFITABILITY TO THE ENTIRE ALITALIA GROUP
This relates to Alitalia Loyalty, the new company of the Group, founded at the end of 2012, which deals with the development and the enhancement of the Alitalia MilleMiglia programme.

The main guidelines of the Plan relating to the operation of Alitalia Loyalty include: the push to increase the number of members of the MilleMiglia programme, the development of new ways to redeem miles on flights or other services, the creation of high value partnerships with leading financial and credit institutions, the entrance of the MilleMiglia programme in a coalition of many loyalty programs to increase the opportunities of earning and redeeming Alitalia miles, the development of new forms of communication and marketing towards MilleMiglia members.

ECONOMIC-FINANCIAL OBJECTIVES OF THE 2013 - 2016 PLAN
During the course of the four-year plan, with the implementation of all the expected industrial and financial measures, the Company plans to achieve the following economic results:
• 2013: positive industry EBIT in the second semester, resulting from an improvement in industrial management
• 2014: break-even operating margin
• 2015: balanced budget
• 2016: balance sheet profit

Concurrently, the following objectives have also to be achieved:
• Increase the convertible shareholders loan by 55 million euros within December 2013
• Increase the financial resources by 300 million euros in December 2013

THE NEW MISSION OF ALITALIA
The Industrial Plan provides that Alitalia refocuses on the values that have always distinguished the Company in Italy and in the rest of the world: the being Italian, the high quality service and the pride of belonging.

These elements define the new mission of the Company:

PROUD TO SHOW THE BEST OF OUR COUNTRY. WITH PASSION.

The new mission of Alitalia, which will be made as visible as possible to customers on planes and at airports, is, in a nutshell, the new spirit of Alitalia: a company that, with its highly recognisable tri-color tailfin and thanks to the passionate effort of all its employees, is the ambassador of the quality, the elegance and the typical Italian lifestyle that make Italy an icon in the world.

The first initiatives will address the re-branding of the three flight service classes, the improvement of on-board services, the new VIP Lounges and the new assistance service dedicated to passengers in transit at the airport hub of Rome Fiumicino.
